Vitamin B12 Injections And Foods Controversy

The most controversial nutrient in the scientific world is probably vitamin B12. This vitamin is the only nutrient on planet earth to be produced by a soil bacteria. Only this bacteria can produce it, and neither an animal nor plant can. Many people do not know that, and automatically assume that this vitamin can be acquired by animal foods only, while the truth is that all vitamin B12 foods in our world, initially received their B12 content due to contact with the soil.

This vitamin is also controversial when it comes to supplements. While sub lingual tablets are pretty common, many people seem to be taking vitamin B12 injections for the false reasons. From B12 deficiencies to weight loss, these injections hype has grown so enormous, that it seems to be way out of control. Taking vitamin B12 injections for treating a deficiency is not a smart move unless the source of the deficiency is a malfunctioning intrinsic factor, the part in our stomach that decomposes B12 vitamin into our blood stream and to the cells. People having difficulties with this organ can not absorb B12 from any oral source, which makes these injections the only possible choice for them, but for other people, it is just a painful treatment that could have been avoided by using less-radical B12 supplements.

Also, taking B12 injections for weight loss purposes is not smart either. The only thing B12 does is boosting our metabolism and thus make us more likely to do some exercise and lose some calories. The point is, however, that you can get the exact same benefits by consuming any supplement or source of the active form of this vitamin, such as sub lingual tablets, intra nasal spray and gel, and of course ‘regular’ natural foods that are rich in vitamin B12, which can be found anywhere. Make your choices carefully, this is your health.

5 Great Foods to Add to Your Diet to Encourage Fat Loss

Sometimes weight loss is as simple as adjusting what foods you choose to replace your habitual eating practice with. It may be easier than you think and end up giving you not only a chance to slim down but possibly more energy and an overall better quality of living as well. Like asparagus which increases circulation and contains the fat burning property, asparagus or beets, an excellent vegetable for stimulating the system into flushing out fat. Take a step back and assess these five great food choices below that you can add to your diet to encourage weight loss and more.

1. Apples with the Peel

Apples with the peel still on has the chemical component to be able to limit the production of fat cells by reducing the amount of fat your body absorbs. It also is capable of creating water binding activity to enhance the discharge of fat deposits. As a bonus, eating an apple before anything else in the morning can be as stimulating to the mind as a cup of coffee.

2. Hot Peppers

Capsaicin is an element found in many hot peppers, especially jalapenos, which naturally stimulates the metabolism into a fat burning frenzy. The high heat release from the peppers increases heart rate which increases circulation which can remove and/or burn fat from the system.

3. The C in Citrus

Vitamin C is hailed for many bodily attributes including weight loss. The system uses this vitamin to process fat breakdown which can encourage a weight loss program. Citrus fruits like pineapples, oranges, lemons, kiwis, limes, and grapefruits are all high in vitamin C and should be incorporated into your daily diet for not only weight loss but antioxidant activity and tissue repair. The above mentioned hot peppers are also high in vitamin C.

4. Trick Your Appetite with Fiber

Fiber has the ability to send a message to your brain that you are full and that you should stop consuming food. By instilling more fiber rich foods into your diet you will be able to get through the day without reaching for those dreaded hip widening snacks. Instead, seek out high fiber cereal, whole grain wheat breads, beans, carrots and fruit.

5. Salmon and Flax

Fish and flaxseed contain omega 3 fatty acids that are an excellent source of reducing the levels of the hormone leptin which is essential for calorie burning. Prepare your fish clean such as broiling or baking and refrain from frying in butter or oil which will end up adding calories that are more difficult to breakdown. Flaxseed can be sprinkled on cereal or, as well as fish, can be taken in an oil filled capsule supplement daily. Omega 3 is also beneficial in joint mobility and brain enhancement.
